Hello! We might be moving to St. Augustine in a few months and I had a question about safety. We live in a small town now so I am a little nervous about moving to a bigger city. Does anyone know about Ponce Harbor apartments? What about the area? Is that considered a safe or relatively safe area? Thank you!

I do not consider St. Augustine a big city. It is a very safe place to live but like everywhere there are some small areas where the majority of the crime happens. Ponce Harbor Apartments is in a safe area very close to Wallmart and far removed from the crime areas in West Augustine. I believe Ponce Harbor rents on a sliding scale dependent on income and there are a lot of families with children there. Units in the back of the complex sit very close top the Railroad tracks and I believe there are 3 trains a day that go through there. The complex is well kept.

Thank you! The railroad thing kind of worries me because my husband will be working nights and will be sleeping during the day. Do you know how close the train comes and how loud it is? Also, do you know of any other apartments that are relatively cheap (around 700) in the area that are nice? Thank you!

Default St.Augustine Safety

I would be more worried about the ghosts that roam the town more so then the people who reside there.
