Hello. I'm considering moving to hsitoric springfield in the spring of '11 -- love everything about it so far -- the historic homes, the diversity of cultures, urban living, affordable, etc. one criteria, though, that I have not been able to find any information on is...TENNIS! My sons are avid tennis players and though they will be able to play through their school, they would like a place nearby, walking distance to hit. We don't need an organized club, just looking for some decent community courts in historic springfield. Looking at homes now to refurbish. Liking the market/2nd to 5th street area. Does anyone have any info on tennis courts in the area? Would even consider buying up a vacant lot and building a court, so if anyone has any info on building use/covenants in the area, that would be helpful as well. thanks so much!!!

Most residents use the first, as the second can be a little sketchy.

If you haven't done so already check out the www.myspringfield.org website. It's helpful.
