I've known that I need a new heat pump since May 2009, but I've been putting it off because of the cost. Since the federal government is offering a $1500 tax credit if installed by December 31, 2010, I decided to have a new heat pump installed before the end of the year. Being the kind and considerate person that I am, I decided to wait until the temperatures became cooler. I am having it installed on my day off (November 11).

Now, I find out that JEA is offering a rebate of up to $450 on the installation of a new heat pump, if you use one of their pre-qualified installers (which I am doing).
So, now's the time to bite the bullet and have that new heat pump installed, if you need one.
