The burial place of Moses is NOT an “Islamic belief”.
The location of his grave has NOTHING to do with “Islamic belief”.

In the hereafter, Allah is not going to ask Muslims to identify the location of Moses’s grave.

Out of 1.2 billion, if a few Muslims believe that a certain spot to be Moses’s grave then it’s their personal choice. It’s only an archeological guess that could be right or totally wrong. Either way, it has nothing to do with “Islamic belief”.

Read, the first 5 verses of Quran chapter two, to get an idea as to what Islamic belief starts with.
And the book itself is a guidance for those who have this basic set of belief.

It is an erroneous belief that is only held by some, certainly not all.

It is definitely not based in the Scriptures / the Holy Bible. . . .

Moses was 120 years of age at the time of his death.

He was buried by God in a location that was never revealed (De 34:5-6), which was likely done to prevent the Israelites from becoming ensnared into false worship by making a shrine of his grave.

Evidently the Devil desired to use Moses’ body for some such purpose, for Jude wrote:

“When Michael the archangel had a difference with the Devil and was disputing about Moses’ body, he did not dare to bring a judgment against him in abusive terms, but said: ‘May Jehovah rebuke you.’” (Jude 9)

Israel observed a 30-day mourning period for Moses (De 34:8) . . . obviously without visiting his grave.
