We want to go from Iowa City to Forest City this week and it looks like the best route would be the Avenue of the Saints (27, 218, whatever it's called). Is it really 4 lanes the entire way now or is there still some 2 lane sections, maybe north of Waterloo? Do we have to go through traffic lights in Waterloo or anyplace? Thanks.

Yes, you go "through" Waterloo but you can take some of the roads around Waterloo to avoid going through town but it's mostly 4 lanes now.
