How is the job market in Davenport? We currently live in Utah and nobody is hiring here. We are thinking of moving there soon and what to know how the jobs are there. Any kind of work is okay. even a burger flipping job is fine.

There are plenty of low level jobs, and quite a few better jobs as well. The AT&T call center in Davenport has been running ads ever since it opened, for example, and that's at least marginally better than burger flipping.

It seems that almost everywhere has a difficulty in finding a good job that would fit or suit one's lifestyle. Maybe any job would be okay for now. It is just better to have something than none at all. Things will still change in time.

My brother in law got hired at Oscar Mayer a couple of months ago. So they're at least hiring occasionally.

I haven't lived in the Quad Cities in awhile and I still get job alert emails from these guys at least once a week.

There's definitely jobs in the Quad Cites. Another buddy of mine just got hired as a manager of a Family Video. There's lots of temp agencies who will send you out until you land a permanent spot.

The economy hasn't hurt that area much from what I can see. Maybe if you sell houses or cars.

I know in the general area there was some layoffs. Whirlpool I think closed it's factory. And a couple of others, but none in the Quad Cites that I can remember.
