Is Netscape.com associated with AOL?

In other words...if someone wrote to me with a netscape.com address....does it mean that this person is hiding behind a proxy???

AOL owns Netscape. Not sure what you're asking in the 2nd part. it can be real, spoofed, or proxied... as with any other address.

Didn't know Netscape still exists Just looked and what can I say, their website looks just like the AOL site, expect for the "Netscape skin" It is really a shame what has become of Netscape. It used to be a fine name...

Netscape is a web-based email provider. Like any web site, it can be accessed with or without a proxy. Just because a message comes from netscape.com does not mean it was sent from behind a proxy.
