It looked really convincing and since I shop there often, I was like "What? Why did it get cancelled?! Wait, did I order this....?"
Be careful, it only takes a single click! Make sure you are using a secure browser with helpful security add-ons such as WOT (Web Of Trust, works with IE and FF), NoScript (Firefox only) and Adblock Plus.
They all look convincing, that's the whole point. Whether claiming to be from UPS, FedEx, an airline, the BBB, a bank, if they don't look convincing they aren't going to work.
Question here ...
Does this anomaly come form Amazon, or did it come from visiting some other questionable website ?
So far, I have never seen this before.
I received 1 or 2 over the last few days. 2, I think.
Looked like Amazon to me, but obviously spoofed. I had not ordered anything, so there was nothing to cancel, which tipped me off to not even open it.
And they are deleted, so I can't pull them up.

Probably neither.
Most phishing attempts are just random blasts to large email lists. If you send a few million emails the chances are that you'll find at least a few people that would believe that it's a legit message.
In this case the odds of finding at least a few people that have ordered from Amazon in the last couple of days, have an Amazon account and think that there might have been a mistake, or people like my brother in law that will click on any link they see, are pretty good.
OK who clicked it?
I did right away. Only because I "know" thecoalman well enough that he wouldn't post a link here to some BS infected site.
I may not always agree with thecoalman... but I respect him.
