It's scary, how official that looks. Phishes are usually easy to discern, but had I received that one, I'd be lookin' twice at it. Hopefully, I'd have realized what was in the works.
I've gotten a bunch of those, not long after the New York traffic ticked emails subsided. Technically not a phishing email but one containing an infected attachment.
A company that you are doing business with knows your name. "Dear Client" is phishing.
The purpose of phishing is to gather personal information, usernames, passwords, etc. The purpose of these emails are to infect your computer, not phishing.
We receive a couple of the same ACH emails, both had our name on it, but not the bank name. It looked very real and since our paychecks are electronically transferred into our bank account, it seemed real on the surface. It wasn't phishing, it was a trojan (which we didn't discover ourselves, but our payroll company did investigate and found it).
