Lady knocks on Door stating "Quest is in your neighborhood installing Fiber..." yada, yada, yada
From a basic search on what she said, I came away with the impression that what is being offered is Fiber optical to back of house, then translated to High speed DSL. DSL / phone lines into house to DSL router / modem then on to my ether hub/ switch and then to my computers.
Can anyone comment if you have FiOS, does the fiber cable actually come into your house, and connect directly to your FiOS modem / router?
Or is it FiOS to an optical network terminal (ONT?) on the back of your house, and DSL (hopefully on CAT5a cable, I presume) to near the computer(s.)
If you have an ONT outside of your house, is there now 3 new cables coming into your home? (Coax cable TV cable, Telephone line, CAT5 with RJ45 computer cable?)
