Huh. 27. Interesting quiz. I really wasn't sure how well I'd do given how dated my windows-related knowledge tends to be. :-)

I only got 20, looks like I have a long way to go! This quiz obviously applies to windows.
My question: On my laptop I'm running Linux + Mullvad VPN + TOR, am I safe?

Safe from what?

Hard to know without knowing specific software versions, sites visited, etc. Exploits are everywhere.

The only truly safe computer is one which is unplugged and in a locked vault.

I got 22 and I haven't used windows in years. I've been a Linux user for over 10 years. Linux is cheap and nice.........did I mention it's cheap (as in free)?

To prove the point, here is the output from on the computer I'm on at the moment. There is nothing here that causes me any security concerns, but if you can tell me what programs are running, please do, I'm curious how that works
Well, this post/thread is old as my first poop but I just noticed your comment.
Anyhow, I think you misunderstood/misread my post. I picked that answer for the very same reason you mentioned in your reply, "IPCONFIG /ALL" will not help.
Read the question I posted from the quiz:

Quote:
Which of the following commands typed into the “Run” menu of Windows XP will NOT help you find out and configure which programs are allowed to be auto-started on a system:

“Services.msc” “IPconfig.exe/all” “Regedit.exe” “Msconfig.exe”
The correct answer should be "IPconfig.exe /all" since that is the only one that will NOT help.

Anyhow, sorry for the tardy reply but I haven't been around for a long while.

Unrelated comment: I have been having some performance issues on certain site using Waterfox 36 and I just installed Waterfox 37 and ...wow!

What a huge difference! It is flying once again!
