You can get an MSN user name by creating an account on MSN.com. You can get a Yahoo! user name by creating an account on yahoo.com. However, I have never heard of a site that requires you to have accounts on two other sites. Many sites (city data included) allow you to post your account name for MSN, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. so other users can find you on those networks. However, this is almost always optional. Which guitar site are you referring to?

If you are trying to register for the forums (http://forums.washburn.com/register.asp?mode=Register - broken link), it does not look like an MSN or Yahoo user name is required. Only the fields maked with a red * are required (e.g. e-mail address, user name, and confirmation code at the bottom of the screen.
All I saw when I tried going there was a request for "user name, password, and email address". That's standard for any website you join. I don't see where it's requiring two user names. The MSN and Yahoo spaces are completely voluntary.
