500 parking question (Crawfordsville, Georgetown, Shirley: house, neighborhood, best)

I'm going to the race next weekend and will be coming from downtown. Usually I sit in the first turn and take 70 west to 465 north to Crawfordsville Rd. exit which dumps me right near the main entrance. I usually park at a house on the west side of Georgetown Rd and after the race I shoot right out of there and am back on 465 in a matter of minutes. It's a very quick way to get to the track and I think it's much smoother than the city streets.

However, this year I'm sitting on the third turn which is all the way at the other end of the track, so I doubt my 465 to Crawfordsville is the best way to go. What is the best route to take to the third turn when you are coming from downtown? Should I go up to 30th street and take that to the track and then take 29th street back?

That's probably what I would do. Maybe you could park in the north lot, but it may be easier to get out if you park in Eagledale just east of the track.

There is a little Eagledale neighborhood just behind turn 3. You can park free on the streets there if you get there early enough. I have parked on Shirley Drive for years.
