We're new to the area and thinking about building in Cobblestone Lakes of Zionsville with Pulte Homes? I know they are a national builder, but what's their reputation in the area? Anyone have any experience building with them?

Run! Run the other way. They cut every corner and use unskilled labor. Then when things break the give you the run around and never fix anything. We finally had to go to small claims court to get them to make warrented repairs.

I / my clients have had the opposite experience as the PP. Quality and customer service have always been great from my experience. In the current market you can typically get a better deal by buying existing but I definitely understand the value of getting something exactly as you want it and everything being brand new. I would encourage you to at least explore the resale market. I would also recommend you check out Drees in Zville as well.

I have been in several Pulte Homes and I must admit that I was favorably impressed by what I saw.

One thing that bugs me though and that is all the black algae I have seen on roof tops in and around Indy. Just the other day I was in Gray Eagle off 116th Street in Fishers and saw a bunch of Pulte homes with black algae on the shingles. It is very unsightly.

Unfortunately I used to work for them. Find another builder, trust me.

Default Check out Drees

Pulte was also recommended by my realtor, but the price range was a bit out of reach for us in Carmel. We built a house with Drees and have been happy with the whole process. I believe the same builder covers Carmel and Zionsville, he's a good guy, pays attention to details.
