Hi!!! I just got accepted to IUPUI and will be moving to Indy in May. My boyfriend currently resides there with family and we will be making the leap but we want to make that leap in a cheap way to start. I know that Im not going to find the nicest apartment for the amount of money we are wanting to spend. Our income at the moment is 500-550 for an apartment. We had filled out an application for Stone Lake Lodge BUT I had seen Thompson Village online and liked it. i also liked windsor court but have checked out a lot of reviews about them being not the greatest place with lots of bugs. I have to say on the south side because that's where my guy works. I plan on taking public transportation until I can afford my own car. Can anyone tell me anything about Barrett and Stockley (thompson village) or Stone lake lodge and if anyone has any suggestions of nicer apartments for that price range on the south side. close to south east street (us 31) if possible. Thank you so much!

I did end up finding a decent apartment in a decent part of indy. I like the southside right by 465 and it's in thompson village apartments and they aren't as bad as some people try to rate them. i found one mouse out of the two years we've lived there and that was this christmas and im really not sure if it's because the little mouse was hiding in our christmas tree box but after four days i never saw him after that.
