I have been searching various apartments and areas in Indy for the past month or so, and am seriously considering living at The Park At Eagle Creek. I'm a 33 yr old single woman..this complex appears to have everything I want in an apartment, and is near several of my friends in the area. I am working downtown--is this a reasonable commute? The website looks really nice--as long as the complex hasn't totally misrepresented itself, we may have a winner. Does anyone know anything about these apartments?

I just recently looked at these apartments and thought they were good. I ended up going with another location on the north side owned by the same company, but this place was my second choice. All the places I visited that were owned by this property group seemed very well managed and in good shape.

The commute downtown should be pretty easy since you have access to I-65 right around the corner. The only thing is you can't get right on I-465 north at the same place you can go south and you have to drive around just a bit to go that way. It's right across the street from Eagle Creek Park though which is nice. There may be a few shady characters passing through from time to time, but overall it should be safe. Just be smart about roaming around at night and don't leave things out in your car. I think the apartments right behind the Park may have a few more issues, but it's really not that bad. I actually know someone else who is moving to these apartments this month. She's also a single female, in her upper 20's, and is a health care provider. She was also happy with the feel of the place.

I know apartment searching around Indy can be hard. I found a lot of places were either not in good shape, were overpriced, or were not in an area I would feel comfortable in. Glad you found one you like though. Congratulations

I'm not familiar with that particular complex but the general area is nice and should provide easy access downtown. I lived in Bayhead Village Apts near there when I first moved to Indy 9 years ago. There is lots of shopping, restaurants, and parks within minutes...and its safe and relatively quiet.

The suburban areas surrounding Indianapolis have different personalities, culture, pros, and cons. You'll learn about them all within a year and be able to make a better decision about where you fitin best. Good luck.
