I would like to know if there are any towns around Springfield that don't use Everyday Mathematics for their math curriculum. We will be moving to the area soon, and I'm going to have to start pin-pointing my search efforts.

Thanks so much for any responses!

Default Fuzzy math alternatives near Springfield

Ozark School district does not use Everyday Math. My son has had to endure this awful program since Springfield Public Schools implemented it a few years ago. It is awful. We spent this entire summer doing Saxon Home School to get him caught up and clean up the mess EM left behind. The teachers in Springfield are fine, it's just they are shackled with this awful curriculum. I almost moved to Ozark, or put him in a private school, when I realized what a train wreck EM and it's similar math programs are (which follow them into middle school). My situation would not allow it, so I tutor my son and try to un-scamble his mind and re-motivate him at the end of the school year.
There doesn't seem to be much hope of getting these "fuzzy" math programs out of Springfield either, I tried.
Good luck. Ozark would be a nice place to live, it's a real neat little town.
Joesph.

There are school districts that don't use Everday Math, but unfortunately they all use Readin be EZ 4U and Pat Roberstson's Fuzzy Science.
