I have been here for a year and been renting a house over on the west side...actually away from the hustle of Veterans. Well getting divorced and need a new place to rent. Looked at a house on N 5th and love it, just dont know much about the area. Been told its getting better as they are revitalizing the area. new street lamps are up and not to far from the art association.

Anyone know about this area?

Yes, the Enos Park area is a redeveloping area. The proximity to the hospitals, who have been growing lately, should contribute to the demand for living in that area. You can tell just by driving around that some people have sunk a lot of money into rehabbing the old homes. But then, some places would benefit from being bulldozed. It's no Washington Park, but it's improving.

The area has really been on the downswing for many years. my husband's grandmother had a house on n 5th. parents have house on n 3rd. North 3rd is really bad right now. many homes look like they are about to fall down. I would also look into how the crime stats are for the area.

From everything I've garnered, the Enos Park area is getting much better. And if the poster is talking about 5th street North of N. Grand, the area is perfectly safe with nice, historic, old homes near Lincoln park.
