Often they are simply released. The Fed won't take them and the locals can't afford to jail them.
I have a friend whose car was hit by an illegal. No Drivers license. The state police were told by ICE to treat him like he were a legal. He had a hearing ROR'd and he is long gone.
Are they deported or sent to a prison or for-profit prison?
In Mexico? Americans and Canadians are put in prison, but some illegal immigrants from the South of Mexico are often shot and killed, while others put in prison and then deported.
But in the US very few of them are deported more than three times. This one (a rapist) was deported four times, "but nobody can blame this guy for his crimes, since the borders are wide open for illegals to travel at will." We even provide places for them to atop along the way and have some fresh water and shade. Differs by state. In Texas they are arrested, booked and sent to a privately ran holding prison awaiting deportation or a hearing to determine status. Some are held for days and decide to self deport, some are held for months awaiting a hearing to determine status and others are released on bond awaiting their hearing. So a combination of a lot of things.
ARRESTED?? They are told to have a nice day, and then asked their lawn cutting rates.
damn sick of it.
Some of them land in the Liberal Arts departments of some universities, and then become kind of "artsy" (they learn how to draw as the white and liberal chick... err...models pose nude for them, and to whom they later marry to get green cards).
