You silly goose, during the ERA of Ellis Island was long before we had the Great Depression and the signing of Franklin Delano Roosevelt 'NEW DEAL' which began an era of Socialism in America.
Had their been a social security office, food stamps or free medical services during the ERA of Ellis Island, you can bet your lucky stars that those European immigrants would have lined up in droves for those services.
So you don't believe me?
Then why in raw numbers not per capita are their more European decent Americans on welfare than any other group of Americans?

My point is that these people were brave enough to weather the hardships of coming to a new country, taking the time to learn a new language, not have the host country change theirs, and find work. When you create a welfare system then you will have eager takers of all nationalities.

All Arizona will be doing is handing off illegal immigrants to ICE agents in which ICE agents will process them and release them back into a Mexican border city and the illegal immigrant will be back in Arizona or where ever the heck they like to go in no time.
If you think Arizona playing merry-go-round with little brown men is your idea if solving the issue of illegal immigration then you are not only clueless, but living in a fantasy world.

I don't know if your stats are correct or not but since most Americans are descendants of those European immigrants it would only make sense if they were the one's receiving the most welfare. It is all about percentages but again I would like to see proof of your assertions or I will consider it to be false.
Doesn't matter anyway. Americans should be entitled to taxpayer benefits when they need them, not illegal foreingers and their anchors by default.
So you're arrogantly claiming that European Immigrants were much more better than todays immigrants simply becuase they had to fend for themselves in the same ways that todays immigrants have to? Many of the Ellis Island Immigrants ultimately suffered from poverty and malnutrition due in part to the commencement of the Great Depression!
Why on earth do you think Roosevent enacted the New Deal in the first place? He never wanted to see that happen again to our newly arrived Immigrants.

We should be chipping these illegals before they are released. But then again we should be using our Military to patrol the border as well. I would also like to see a law passed that calls for seizing the assets of the illegals. After all they were gained illegally in the first place.
