WASHINGTON — A coalition of pro-immigration groups is preparing for a renewed congressional battle over reform legislation — and this time they have money to spend.

“Our effort this time has been targeted to make sure that we out-match them at every level and in every facet of the game,” he said.

His organization has joined with the National Council of La Raza, Service Employees International Union and a host of other labor, religious, ethnic and ideological groups to keep their interests and message before the public.

A coalition of groups favoring earned legalization for undocumented immigrants has planned a “massive mobilization” to bring thousands of people to Washington on March 21.

Special interest groups are also gearing up to lobby for parts of the legislation.

“As our economy rebounds, the need for workers will rise,” said Randel Johnson with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Business groups are seeking pools of immigrant workers, through temporary or guest worker programs, to provide a continued source of labor.

Apparently, they aren’t aware (or don't care), that many jobs will not be returning. This is simply an attempt by the profiteers of illegal immigration to ensure a continued source of "cheap" labor.

It's sad that so many groups that previously championed on behalf of U.S. citizens are now being motivated by sheer greed. It’s even more disheartening that U.S. taxpayers unwittingly fund these so-called “non-profit” organizations.

The sooner this comes to the forefront the better. With this Economy and the high unemployment and Obama tied up in his never ending Healthcare debates it would be better for everybody to get this over now before the midterm elections. The American public would be sickened by all the demands these parasites are making and the potential for a backlash against them would be very high.Let them utilize their financial resources now before the midterm elections when campaigning and advertising costs are at a premium and their"message" would have to compete with every thing else going on now.Obama and his adm. already have their hands full , let them take this on also,it's what he gets for pandering to these lawbreakers.Watch how millions of unemployed Americans teetering on foreclosure and bankruptcy appreciate this.

Their timing is terrible. I’m sure they will be “welcomed” by quite a few disgruntled former employees; especially those whose unemployment has expired or been denied.

Has anybody noticed that since those fateful illegal 'immigrants' rights' marches back in May 2006 that the pro illegal side has been basically going down in flames? Read that setback after setback for any sort of amnesty.

Not only greed but tribal ethnocentricism on the part of many.

I agree, the sooner we deal with this issue the better. I want it resolved once and for all instead of year after year the status quo remains.

Yup and they are getting more and more desperate with their race cards held high and their screaming victimhood attitude since they haven't gottten their way yet even after Obama has been in office for over a year now. They can see the handwriting on the wall and I for one am thrilled!

Their main interest is that of racial superiority. They want more Hispanics in the country regardless of the costs or negative affects. It seems that more and more peple are waking up to the reality of the issue.

Never mind that the standard of beauty in Hispanic culture is white skin and blue eyes---------despite the denials of the 'Aztlan' types.

You're exactly right. I guess it isn't enough that Hispanics are the majority in 22 countries on the Western Hemisphere. These raza groups want the most successful country in the world added to their list. They want political, numerical and cultural dominance in this country. Their thirst for this is satisfied through illegal immigration from south of our border. The entire country needs to be awakened to that fact.
