i thought it was the citizens that were supposed to petition the government not the invaders. please go home and petition your own government.

That's a good point: how can you petition for something like this when you aren't even legally here to do so? I could understand if a person's human safety was violated or if there were rights being violated, but that is not the case.

It's like voting in our elections and getting food stamps and lots of government assistance (or being here in the first place), they aren't supposed to - but they certainly do.

They're attempting to muddy the water by lumping them all together. They want people to forget the word "illegal," but by doing so, they're doing a great disservice to legal immigrants by promoting the idea that there is no difference between the two.
