The article says they were placed in solitary confinement to close monitor them and meet their medical needs. Why didnt they meet those medical needs before? As someone who worked at a prison before, I know that solitary confinement is used often to stop any kind of communication with other inmates and cease protests or riots.

Obviously the three day strikes are not having the desired effect. I'd recommend a longer period...say 40 days?

Whoa a hunger strike. But that made me suffer with them. Changed my mind about illegals and made wwant to hide a few in my basement. Uhh nah just kidding. What wasted effort. I have a good idea. Deport them as soon as possible and let them do a hunger strike in their own country to make it change its ways.

Especially factoring in that quite a few Latinos are plump and afford to lose a few pounds?
