Arizona authorities on Sunday found 53 illegal immigrants in a Phoenix home being held against their will by suspected smugglers demanding more money for their release.

The group of rescued immigrants included two 13-year-old girls and a mentally disabled man. There were three women, and the rest were men, said Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Harold Sanders.

Sanders said the investigation began Saturday after authorities received information that the immigrants were being held with force against their will, and that smugglers wanted an average of $2,500 for each person

Disgusting news, Greatday!

Just one more reason we need to get serious at the border as well as clamping down on the major incentive . . . GREEDY UNETHICAL EMPLOYERS.

Not really the employers, but the despicable coyotes who take advantage of these naive people when bringing them across.

They take their money, and usually screw them over. Many times even ditching them in the desert where they roam for days completely lost only to die a slow horrible death.

The border patrol constantly finds bodies charred from the desert sun, that had probably dies weeks earlier. Its terrible.

I agree, lets take those 100k+ troops in iraq that liberals want back home so much and station them on both the mexican and canadian borders. that should do to alleviate the illegal border problems there quite quickly.

Really? If not for the jobs these unscrupulous employers provide, there would be no incentive to cross our borders illegally. So yes, the employers are indeed culpable.

One exception: As long as our government permits the manipulation and abuse of the 14th Amendment, there is also the incentive of crossing our borders illegally for anchor baby purposes.
