$2 billion Medicaid program helps mostly illegal immigrants (health care, born, laws)

Illegals are given Medicaid, contrary to what th pro-illegals claim. "Emergency Medicaid" is Medicaid for illegals and of course their US born babies will then qualify for regular Medicaid. Illegals are NEVER expected to pay for the health care they get here.
But while federal law generally bars illegal immigrants from being covered by Medicaid, a little-known part of the state-federal health insurance program for the poor has long paid about $2 billion a year for emergency treatment for a group of patients who, according to hospitals, mostly comprise illegal immigrants. Most of it goes to reimburse hospitals for delivering babies for women who show up in their emergency rooms, according to interviews with hospital officials and studies.

This is just one of the reasons that I can't for the life of me understand why any American can defend illegal immigrants.
To be fair, it also helps pay the people who are forced to treat these patients and would otherwise just get stiffed...granted, you get like 11 bucks, but it's something.

This doesn't surprise me. They leech off any benefit through any loophole. The fact that they were not honest enough to immigrate here legally shows a lot of their character.

If they won't obey our immigration laws why would they obey any other?

Many hospitals and clinics are operating at a loss or going bankrupt not to mention the overcrowding of our healthcare facilities. I don't see any benefit to that at all.
KFOX is in El Paso...hardly any Americans left there, it seems.
Or many of the ones remaining there are the ethnocentric type of American. At least the author of the article linked here had the guts to point out the truth.
Wow, I might disagree with "malamute" uhmm, like always, but I wouldn't generically say El Paso lacks in having Americans with the right values. Labeling Hispanic U.S. citizens living there or anywhere in the United States as not being Americans is just as egregious. It appears to be accepted here however.
EDIT: I just received a rep point on this comment: "You have problems understanding truth? NCN"
Coming from someone that wants to remove everyone but U.S. citizens from the United States, I can take it at that value. Perhaps you can explain more of your "truth" on the open forum rather than being petty in rep comments. I'll wait.
