PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer blasted the federal government for failing to secure the U.S.-Mexico border while invoking the names of a slain rancher and Border Patrol agent on Tuesday at a major border-security expo being held in downtown Phoenix.

Speaking to a room of law enforcement officers and those in the border technology industry, Brewer said the immigration issue isn’t about hate or skin color, as her critics say — it’s about securing the border and keeping Americans safe.

at the end of the article "taxpayers ended up with about 53 miles of operational “virtual fence” in Arizona for a cost of at least $15 million a mile" this is laughable. Someone should be arrested for this scam.

There is no border security. The other day in Juarez, the federal police intercepted some thugs trying to break into a business, there was a shoot-out and one of the injured thugs made it over into the USA and is now being treated for his injuries in a USA hospital at taxpayer expense.

It's far too easy to make it over the border and contrary to what the administration claims, there is very little enforcement of the border. And as long as they promises of big rewards for coming here illegally are being made, you can bet many thousands are coming in to take advantage of that.

You definitely do not try to stop massive illegal immigration by bringing up amnesty frequently, nor by promising dream acts.
