The Chipotle restaurant chain's mass firings of Latino workers at Minnesota restaurants continued this week, with workers at some locations fired yesterday at the end of their shifts.
Interesting read with an interview of two laid-off employees.
Pretty inconsistent. On one hand they think laws should not be respected. Employers should give illegals preferences in employment but then they turn around and think THEY should be given overtime pay because it's the law.
And a woman supporting 4 kids on $9 an hour? Yeah right - that wouldn't even pay the heating bills there.
That number could still grow, as Latino workers in several locations say they are being asked to train in new white workers who they fear will become their replacements once the training is complete.
Now this is misleading. It should not simply say Latino workers. It should say illegal latino workers, as that is who is being fired.
Another line. We didn't take anyones jobs we applied for our jobs.
Well actually when you take something that you have no right to, that is taking something that doesn't belong to you.
This is the price one pays for cheating, for living a criminal life style.
But what a racist article. Why did the writer assume no black Americans or hispanic Americans would want the jobs that the illegals AKA "Latinos" were taking illegally? Is the unemployment rate in Minnesota now at 0% Or is it that same old - "Americans of all races are too lazy to work for a living"?
Also it doesn't seem that the savings by bringing in all kinds of cheap illegal labor was being passed onto the customers. I was reading in the comments - $7.50 for a burrito from this place. Someone commented that the illegal employees would have to work a whole hour to buy one of their burritos.
Now if Americans can make a $1 hamburger, then certainly Americans could make a $1 burrito. The owners of this place must have been making out like bandits - the cheapest labor they could bring in but pretty expensive food, while the taxpayers pick up the real tab for that cheap labor.
Yet it's always the PRO illegals crowd screaming all the anti illegals are "racists" - go figure
Yes - and that's all over this La Raza slanted article. Only "latinos" were fired, only "whites" wanted the jobs. No blacks or hispanic Americans anywhere - apparently like Vicente Fox claimed, "even black Americans don't want these jobs" but at least this article can't avoid pointing out that whites are willing to work them.
I find it very hard to believe that no black or hispanic or other than white Americans were applying for those jobs. The unemployment rate just isn't that low there.
80 fewer criminals with jobs...hopefully awaiting deportion. This means 80 more employement positions for legal residents. Win-win.
