They're old silos and I'm not sure what they used to hold. I sneaked a peak inside one of them one day not long after we moved here and it was mostly empty except for a few odds and ends someone had in storage there. The roofs are beginning to fall in but I love the look of them.

Adopted the dog from a shelter in Tampa Bay, Florida believe it or not, and picked her up at the Boise airport about 2 1/2 months ago. Great girl.

Yeah, looks like a very friendly dog and you did a great thing saving her from the shelter.

juneaubound - I agree, you will be blessed by such a loving companion like that as a way of repaying you for your favor. She's a beauty!

Thanks guys. Yeah, Kory has turned out to be a real blessing for us. We had a dog for 13 years who died not long after we moved to Idaho and we were heart broken. Hadn't expected to get another dog so soon but a friend posted this dog's picture on her FB page with a plea for someone to adopt her because she was scheduled to be euthanized two days later. A week after that this dog left palm trees and sunshine, and arrived in high desert plains and freezing cold. She is a GREAT dog.

I don't mean to go out on a diatribe about adopting dogs, but we get notifications all the time about dogs all across the country that are existing on borrowed time in shelters. It breaks my heart to see folks spending a small fortune buying dogs, when there are dogs all across the country just as sweet and smart and beautiful as the one we found, languishing in animal jails through no fault of their own. OK........I'm done now.

juneaubound-yep, what I usually do, I research what kind of dog I want then pay a high price for a purebred dog of the breed I want. Works fine, only, like you I receive those Facebook updates, Friends of Phineas is one of them, where they show you dogs that only have a few days left. Those sites are very successful at placing dogs for adoption, also trying to collect money to pay expensive vet bills for dogs that have been mauled or abused by humans in some way. People are adopting like crazy and also sending in money via PayPal, etc., and helping out in a large way!

It has affected me so positively I think my next dog might just be a rescue dog. We have two rescue cats and they are absolute angels to take care of. They repay us with so much love it's incredible!
