Production is expected to start October of this year and this is with the updated Ioniq 5 that has a higher capacity battery, more range, more power output, and faster charging than the previous iteration. It also has some interior redesigns and finally has a rear window wiper. Producing this also means that the Ioniq 5 can be eligible for the federal tax credit when you purchase rather than having to do it via lease.

So, yea, I think the Ioniq 5's going to do pretty well with this mid-cycle update.

I doubt it'll be launching with NACS compatibility, but that would really be fantastic if it does alongside Tesla Supercharger access.
