Yes, the diagnosis is "ICE vehicle". Most are known to have slow, lagged, acceleration response

Try some Chevron Techron additive. You can get it at any auto parts store (or Wal Mart).

Yeah. Mine only does 0-100-0 in 13 seconds.

No. 6-speed auto. CVTs are great if you can throw 300fpt at 1500 RPM at them.

I doubt any gas additive can fix a problem that seems to affect most of the models, across several years. Unless you use it as store-bought molotov.

I would surely diagnose the problem on a fairly new vehicle, as opposed to dumping it.

Were it an individual problem, yes. But it appears to be widespread on Sonatas from 2011 on, and Hyundai is passive about the problem and any solutions. That's a different kettle of cats.

While a software update would “temporarily” fix the issue, the problem stems deeper than the “temporary” fix.

You must be talking about the older generation Prius’s. When my hybrid is in Sport mode, it really moves. I mean, it sports 193 hp and 154-lbs/foot torque, all while getting around 45-50 mpg. Not bad. I do love this car with the exception of the acceleration lag issue.

There should be a TSB clearly spelling-out your problem and a remedy.

Hardware, software, whateverware.... I would request to speak to the lead-technician and get a firm answer.

Go higher up the chain if needed...................it is not vodoomagic, logic and reason applied properly will fix this vehicle.

There is a logical reason, that can be clearly defined and remedied, for this and any Machine's malfunction.

If Hyundai sold a lemon, with a 3 second lag designed-in, they need figure-out how they goofed and fix it.
