Hi, My husband & I just got a 2016 Kia Soul Base with 32k miles. They talked us into getting an extended warranty (which we've never done before) that goes to 75k miles or 2024. The cost is $1670 and we just got the information in the mail which says we have 30 days to cancel and get a refund. So now we're having second thoughts! We also haven't had time to research what still may be covered without the extended warranty. Thoughts and ideas? We need advice! Thanks.
It does not, for a 2nd owner they are left with the 5/60k.
$1670 is entirely too much for a measly 15k more miles. Absolutely cancel that. Should have asked for it to be CPO to reinstate the 10/100k, presuming you got from a Kia dealer. That should only be a few hundred.
The only somewhat common problem I can think of that may happen before 75k miles is the high pressure fuel pump. I would cancel it though, the Soul is probably Kia’s most reliable model.
notnamed, We really appreciate your advice, and it was exactly what we were thinking.... it was one of those times when we were caught off guard and said yes without thinking it through. It wasn't a Kia dealer, but I'm just glad we're within the 30 days to cancel and get back $1670! (minus $50 processing fee). Thanks
Thx, so what does that mean? Is there still a warranty from Kia?
