Thx everybody... they are processing our cancellation for the extended warranty AND the Auto Butler - we will just keep the car clean and get a really good wax from time to time. So we saved $1670 and $799. We won't get a check, but they will apply it to our loan principle, so that's okay.

2014 Kia Soul owner here and its had nary a problem other than recall fixes to the steering and accelerator or brake, I forget exactly. So they seem to hold up extremely well.
It's due for its yearly inspection this summer and will have over 30K on it by then. What should I expect the dealer to suggest it have done? The battery, I guess but what else? I'll have the oil changed before then and had the cabin filter changed last year.

Icy Tea - The dealer had a pamphlet that said what is recommended at the 30,000 mile mark. You might want to look up your closest dealership online. Also, I recommend you sign up for the dealership service e-mails. My dealer sends e-mail coupons for services - some of the coupons are a really good deal.
