I am driving a 2007 Hyundai Sonata which I bought used in 2012. It has just over 75,000 miles and I noticed my first problem on Friday, 11-13. The problem is the is front end noise which first sounded like my tire rubbing something. Now it is more like a thump like a flat tuire which you can hear after you take yiour foot off the gas while it is not accelerating and you are braking. Any thoughts?
I have a 2007 Sonata V6. Over 102k miles. Still no problems like yours. Did have to replace the battery and the starter so far. But I really didn't think I had to replace the battery but most likely needed one soon. Oh yeah, one more thing the key ignition switch.

Could be a few things, but likely either a motor mount, or CV joints. Why not take it to a small garage mechanic, yeah it costs, but it also costs to guess and get the diagnosis wrong.

Thanks, was told the same after a mechanic at my work mdrove it. Nope, brakes and rotors.
Does it sound like the above? They say it is a wheel bearing.
I would have bought a newer Hyundai for the same amount of a 2007 Sonata, you probably could have bought a Elantra.
I really don't recall saying what I spent on my 2007. I had been hit buy a mack truck truck 2 weeks earlier. He totalled my car. It was a 2002 Hyundia Sonata. Bought it in 2002. 12,000 miles. Loved it and I owned it out right. VERY satisfied with Hyundia. I had to finance very little, and I did not want a new car. Only listed as new til you drive it off the lot.

Replaced original battery a couple months ago. My issue turned out to be brakes and rotors. Thanks Mike.

Brakes and rotors. Happens to every car. Had a 2002 Sonata demolished 2 weeks before buying. Financed very little. Own it out right 3 1/2 years. I am not flashy, don't need new. Too much of a payment. I have bigger plans than a car payment.
