Sister-in-law works at a Hyundai dealer. Thanks to an accident, we have to drive her to and from work. Yesterday they had on the lot the 2015 Sonata. The exterior looks more conservative and has a bigger grill opening similar to the Taurus. But the interior looks far more expensive than the sticker price of $23,000.
I like the 2014 Sonata a lot. It's one of the few (if only) korean cars I actually like. They are being deeply discounted to clear out stock for the 2015, so if you're in the market a 2014 can be had for very little.
The '15 should be a hit. Fixed most of the stuff that sucked on the previous generation (I had a '12 2.0T). Sucks the '15 2.0T is rated at 245HP, not 274HP like the previous gen.

From what I understand, the lower output is due to a slightly smaller turbo which offers more low end torque which should make for a more enjoyable daily driver at the expense of top end performance. For someone like me who prefers to slap on a laggier turbo to improve top end pull this may be an issue but I think most folks won't care one bit.
It looks like they took a step backwards in styling, especially in the interior. The previous Sonata, in my opinion, had the best overall styling in its class. I think the new Mazda 6 takes the cake in that category now.
FYI, my old 2012 Sonata 2.0T Limited is for sale on phillong.com for $24K with 33k miles. LOL! You could get a brand spank' new 2014 leftover for that.
They paid me $17800 for it. Will be interesting if it ever sells.
I like the 2014 better as well as far as the outside goes. The interior looks better though, I will certainly have to test drive the car in the fall when I will be looking for a new one!
