I am absolutely terrified for the people on the Florida Gulf Coast. This is a catastrophic storm. The only positive is that it's moving fairly quickly and isn't expected to linger.

That's pretty long, but just to recap the two bigger take-home
points: flash flooding potential remains #1 concern and is actually
increasing with latest guidance, and have issued gsp's first-ever
tropical wind products (in collaboration with surrounding offices
and nhc).
Forecast Max wind gusts from NWS from now to Friday 7pm
Luckily (If that's an ok word to use) is that the strongest winds are very tight to the center. Only 45 miles is not a lot and notice from this map outside that little narrow area it's no big deal.
Good luck to those in the path of the center though.

And here's GSP's inland Tropical Storm Warnings (winds 39mph or higher) in red for southern Upstate SC counties, SC i85 corridor (my area!) still looks to mainly be rain/flood threat. Really need winds of around 39mph or higher for more widespread scattered downed trees and power lines.
Case in point... Even a buoy near the center is getting only 76mph gusts. You have to be really close to the center(Eye) to experience the absolute worst of things.

There is a front coming through but good point.
Here are the projected temps Friday morning per NAM. Looks chilly for the south in the 40s and 50s. I hope they have generators. Should warm up into the 60s and 70s though. 80s on Sunday. Then next week a stronger front comes through again.
