In the first link - sea pressure - what is it we're seeing? Is the first cluster Dean? And the next cluster the storms they aren't sure about this evening?
I am sticking by my prediction, Miami escapes unharmed this year.
That's a pretty safe bet. Figure every 10 years or so Miami will get hit by something of reasonable strength....which means it could go 15-20 years with not much and then get hit two years in a row etc. etc.
Look at New Orleans...that whole town was a WHEN not an IF and it didn't even take a "hard" hit.
Um, for what it's worth, two cities that are WAY past due for a hit from a big storm are Tampa and Long Island. They also rank in the top 10 most vulnerable cities. Interesting reading:
