So what? I know I have this incredible ability to be self introspective. I know I have narcissistic tendencies and I am proud of it. I am never going to change it because there is no need to change.

I called 911 because I was worried for another human life- what if the guy had a medical emergency and people just walked away and he died. Does that make any sense to you?

I don't call myself a narcissist because I have a lot of empathy and I donate thousands of dollars to charity every month. Heck, I just made a huge contribution to a nonprofit group in Puerto Rico that is helping people get through Tropical Storm Fiona-there are 1.3 million people there currently without power.

If I was a true narcissist, I would have never called 911 and stuck around to make sure the overnight clerk was not in need of medical assistance or dead.

See you keep giving clues to your true age.

Let me educate you a little. I know you have all the exceptional abilities and all but you do not have a very good grasp on the First Amendment.

You are obviously referring to the "Freedom of Speech" portion in regards to the First Amendment. That only applies to the Government not being able to restrict your freedom of expression and so forth. Forums like this one, Reddit and others are privately owned. They can therefore restrict what is posted and restrict what you are allowed to say. Just like pretty much any privately owned business when you are on or within their property. If you go in a restaurant and start mouthing off and causing disruptions which affect their business and customers, they can tell you to leave. The same applies when you are at someone else's home. If you are spouting off like you like to do and annoying everyone they can tell you to not talk about whatever it is anymore and if you continue they can ask you to leave and show you the door. If you do not leave, you can be arrested for trespassing. If you do not believe all of that, go do some research on the First Amendment and when and where it is applicable.

None of my observations here so far have been outrageous-most of the things I talk about are "common sense" in other parts of the country.

My MAPCO story, I stopped by the store on University this morning at 5:15 am before the gym, the lights were on, the door locked, no signs of human life. 3 people at the door trying to figure out what happened, they all left, I stayed.

I stayed because I was thinking, what if the clerk fell or had a heart attack in the kitchen, so I called 911 and stayed there. 20 minutes later, the clerk shows up and unlocks the store, she goes "I am sorry but we did not have anybody to cover the overnight shift"

I said "How about placing a sign on the door next time?"- she did not like what I said, as if what I am saying something completely outrageous or unreasonable- really hard to understand some of the thought processes here.
That's about the time I drove by MAPCO on my way to work.

You voiced your opinion to somebody who possibly had nothing to do with the store portion closing due to the lack of staff for the third shift. Reportedly she apologized, a courteous response to customers/you for the inconvenience. I suspect your "suggestion" for a sign was not without condescending inflection in your voice. Perhaps I'm wrong.

1. How did you come to the conclusion she did not like your comment about a sign?

2. Did the police respond to your E911 call?
You called 911 and twenty minutes later the MAPCO employee reported to work. Since the cause of your 911 call was not confirmed until the employee reported to work and you would not have any reason to cancel the call until such time then we should assume the Huntsville PD did not respond to the emergency call in a timely manner. This is concerning. I'm surprised you hadn't posted anything to this forum on that issue, an issue a little more important than not knowing a locked door means the store is closed. Perhaps you have another thread detailing how the lack of police response in Huntsville would not be tolerated in cities within CA or CO. If you do and I haven't read it yet then I do apologize. Still the question remains.

I assume since the Mapco is on University Drive, it's in the western part of the city. I read an article earlier today that a 4th police precinct is planned for the western part of the city to improve response time.

1-Any person with basic emotional intelligence would have realized it by the way she responded and her body language.

2-The 911 Dispatcher specifically asked me to call back and cancel the call if anybody showed up which I did. When she asked for the address, I gave it to her 3 times and she acted like either had no idea where that MAPCO gas station or if I was speaking a foreign language.

I would not be surprised if she still got the address wrong which may be the reason why the cops never showed up.

RocketDawg comment is spot on- You would have to be seriously foolish not to come to the conclusion that perhaps the cops that serve that specific area may not have their crap together.

I am sure a Huntsville cop at 5:15 am is super overwhelmed answering multiple calls. The vast majority of issues I see in this area in both public and private sectors are due to horrible management/administration.

Well, that's not the way I define a narcissist. A true narcissist would call 911, then stick around to brag about being the one who called and was extremely worried about the person's well being.

I knew a guy a few years ago who told me (bragged, in other words) about "taking several turkeys to the homeless shelter for Thanksgiving". My thought was - what about the other 364 days of the year? A true empathetic person would take food and assistance a lot more often, and most of all, would never tell anyone what he was doing.
