What is happening with LogiCore? Is everybody working remotely now?

I don't think they have a good engineering program. I am not sure the school is spoiled by football money but it doesn't seem that the university is eager to seek research money in engineering and science.

Actually UA has a great engineering program. I'm not putting it on the same level as Georgia Tech or MIT or anything like that, but it holds it weight regionally.

UA is going to make a big announcement in the next month or two concerning 4 research campuses that will turn a lot of heads. Also UA leads the SEC in growth rate of research $ coming to the University over the last 3 years

Big names, big acts, big money are involved with the the soon to open Orion Amphitheater at Mid City.
https://www.al.com/news/2022/02/grou...w-funding.html

Anytime Irving Azoff gets involved, it’s a big deal. The Los Angeles-based music mogul has managed a fleet of superstars, including the Eagles, Van Halen, Gwen Stefani and Harry Styles. During his career, Azoff’s also steered major record labels, Ticketmaster and concert promoter Live Nation. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.

Azoff is among those involved in the $50 million in new funding for The Venue Group, the venture behind Orion Amphitheater, the world-class venue being built at the MidCity development

Of that $50 million, Venue Group founder Ben Lovett says they’ve allocated $15 million towards their Huntsville projects. Lovett, a member of the Grammy-winning British folk-pop band Mumford & Sons, says those Huntsville funds will be used in the construction of Apollo Park, the city park that will be built around Orion Amphitheater, as well as onsite facilities to host community events including farmers markets.

See UA's engineering school ranking (131th):

https://www.usnews.com/best-graduate...f%20excellence.

I am sorry but I cannot agree UA has a 'great' engineering program.

Additionally, Aurbun (66th)'s and UAH 's (101th) rankings are much higher than UAT :

Oh really? US News is as useless as this site:

https://www.collegechoice.net/choosi...es-in-alabama/

Notice UA is ranked ahead of AU and UAH.

Here is another where UA is ranked higher: https://www.collegefactual.com/major.../most-popular/

https://www.universities.com/program...eering-degrees

And another for Aeorospace engineering

https://aerospace-schools.com/

I only point this out to say that maybe rankings shouldn't be the end all of judging a University or a college within that University. And all of those were within the last 5 years. I usually go back competitions between schools. And if you want me to link those where UA beat other "top ranked" engineering schools, I will

"UAT" is considered a slight to UA mostly in the football world. I guess its supposed to be a derogatory shot meaning the flagship University in the state is on a level with secondary universities such as UAB, UAH, USA, etc. Auburn fans refer to 'UAT' quite often.

The University of Tennessee is often referred to as "UTK" by Alabama fans.

It seems childish and stupid in my opinion.

Thank you. Thought I missed something in the last few years. It is dumb.
