Productivity is up and useless stupid meetings have been eliminated.
Now it won’t work for every business but it’s time to give employees the option if possible.
I'm retired, but my son (in Atlanta) currently has to go into work 2 days each week and he's getting more done without the stress of a long commute.

When The Hollingsworth Companies built the SouthPoint Business Park Huntsville, Alabama in 1999, little did they know that BOCAR would locate across the street; and, this would be the closest industrial park to a future Toyota Mazda plant. In November 2017, BOCAR announced a new plant on Bibb Garrett Road. In January, Toyota Mazda announced they will invest $1.6 billion to build a 300,000 SF vehicle assembly plant near Huntsville in Limestone County, Alabama.

Is the Toyota/Mazda plant only 300,000 square feet? If that's the case, the newly announced building is larger. I doubt that's the case.

You forget that these plants will need outside suppliers to provide them with parts. Many of them will be located near the assembly plants but others may be located nearby. Also, there are other new or existing manufactures in North Alabama that may attract other manufactures and suppliers to locate here.

What we don't know are other factors that are spurring this development. Maybe the developers know about some new developments that are coming but not publicly known.

Many of the subcontractors Mazda-Toyota will be using are already making auto components close to Huntsville.

The following auto assembly complexes are within 2 hours of Huntsville:

GM in Spring Hill, TN
Nissan in Smyrna, TN
Honda in Lincoln, AL
Toyota in Blue Springs, MS
Mercedes in Vance, AL

It would be safe to say one big reason (other than state incentives) that the factory is coming to Huntsville is that the supporting subcontractors are already up and running close by. We should see some additional factories and warehouses in the area however.
