That's not a new hospital at MCM, that's the new headquarters of MetroNational, the developer of MCM.

Looking at the TMC, I can't believe that it is that dense and that all those buildings are not offices but hospitals. It's the Las Vegas Strip of hospitals.

Well actually, on campus there are several office buildings and even homes, but the density from up above is surprising. It looks like a downtown.

It's one of the 3 distinct skylines in Houston. (At least when i lived there it was 3. Don't know if they've merged yet into one giant one)

I remember riding the Sky Screamer(?) at Astroworld back in the 90's, and the view north was amazing. The Galleria area, Greenway Plaza, Med Center, and downtown almost merged into one skyline. I'm sure it's a lot closer to being merged today.

You know, seriously, there are cities out there that would kill to have it's DOWNTOWN to look like the TMC. And they aren't even down building down there yet with so much construction going on. I think it can become Houston's second skyline imo. You don't need to have a supertall to have an impressive skyline. (ok maybe you do)

Now I understand why you Houston folks are always touting the medical facilities in Houston. They should call the place Medical City.

That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Not really. The way Houston is arranged probably won't allow that to happen. So it will probably remain three seperate skylines (or four, if you include
Greenway).

Well, Greenway may merge in with Uptown. They aren't too far off, and have lots of projects between the two.

The Medical Center is amazing. They are building so many more towers, AND a new transit-village thing. It will be at the TMC Transit Station. With more residential, that will become a truly urbane place.
