Hello,

Does anyone know of a good recruiter or head-hunter in the Houston or surrounding areas?

I'm moving back to Houston from up north and would appreciate any suggestions.

Ideally, I'm looking for something in the IT or consulting industries. I have an MBA and several years of experience.

Thanks for your help!

Accenture, Sapient, Comsys are probably the biggest. Everything else just goes thru them (KForce, TriadSolutions etc)

Go to Monster.com and see what IT jobs are open in Houston. That way you will find many job shops in the area.

Be wary of the ones that are owned or run by people from India. There have been many problems with them changing the agreed hourly wage....or.........being VERY late (like a month or more) on payments. Many consultants are now refusing to deal with any of those shops. IT consulting is my field so I know about those shops.

Thanks for the replies! However, I have already been using all the major job boards and have applied directly to many of the big companies on their websites.

I was hoping to get the contact info for an actual person in the houston area. If you dont want to post contact info on the board, please Private Message me.

Thanks again! I can't wait to be back in Houston!

what field are you in? Energy trading and risk management (ETRM) is very hot here. are you consulting or want a perm job? you want a start up ETRM firm for partnership? I go a few direct offers/contact just weeks ago when I was transitioning from perm to contractor
you need to be specific on your area of expertise so you can be pimped easily and get paid well
oh and add Sirius Solutions to one of the good guys
