It's an improvement from the nasty HOT high temps in the 90's. I'm still looking forward to lows in the 50's.

And so our extended fall begins. It's always funny to read comments from the peanut gallery on how miserable our summers are. Of course, those same people are oddly quiet in the winter when half the country is shoveling snow, buying winter tires for their cars, or are crying about their heating oil bills.

With a few exceptions (couple of light freezes, some warm/cold fronts), Labor Day through Easter is pleasant, and we are reminded of how nice the weather actually is here for most of the year.

In the next couple of weeks, we will be safe to plant fall flowers and replace what died during the summer drought. Home tours are coming in October and November as well, and bike lanes will be much more crowded. Can't wait to see what the planners at Discovery Green have in store for this fall!

We had a long and wonderful spring. A horrible June and July. 1/2 of August was bareable...looks like a wonderful and long Fall is coming.

If this is Global Warming, I'll keep it.

You people are crazy. This was like the 3rd hottest summer ever for Houston. It was brutal. Several days of over 100 degrees, no rain and in my neighborhood a water restriction. I'll agree that winters are nonexistant but I miss the snow.

June and early July sucked, but August was cloudy for the most part. Not that it was comfortable, but we can do and have done a lot worse.

Spring was pleasant, and if this is what fall is going to be like, I'll take it.
