Could anybody recommend one? I want to do a thorough inspection on a house I am looking to buy. I was told an inspector who is also a professional engineer (PE) can do a much thorough job especially on structural and foundation problems.

DPIS.com

reasonable, and very thorough.

i would say that actually get an engineer out is a waste vs a trec inspector that is not an egineer but to each his own.

if i inspect your house.. i'd just charge you for free lunch.. hahahha
but it would be like a pediatrician checking if something is wrong with your heart.. hahaha

this is just my personal opinion.. there are more to a house than just structural.. there are electrical stuff, etc.. so i would go for someone with YEARS of experience doing house inspection even though high school grad
as long as they are accredited..

I am closing a deal right now, but still haven't found an engineer. Could anybody help? I want an engineer to look over foundation and frame etc on top of TREC inspection. I want to have both done.
