And has become better in the last few years, but that is only hearsay.

I have heard good things about Spring Branch ISD for disabilities, but admittedly have no personal experience.

I will say that I would think twice about choosing a fast-growing district, like Katy ISD. Don't get me wrong, KISD is a great school district for your *average* student, but they have to spend soo much of their money just in capital... building more schools to keep up with the growing population.

On the other hand, a "built out " school district like Spring Branch ISD would have that money to spend on programs, etc...

I know several sets of families that moved to Katy ISD with the lure of "great schools." 2 have children on the autism spectrum and after a disapointing go at Katy ISD have moved their children to private schools in the Memorial area. Another with a child with dyslexia and one with behavioral issues continue to struggle with Katy isd for needed services.

Katy is a great school district, but one cannot expect it to be perfect for all people all the time. I commend the OP for looking for a specific school for their child. Good luck with your search.
