My Electricity bill for this month is $566.00 , how is this possible, i live in one bedroom, last month my bill was 260.00 and i guess my AC was bad that time cuz maintenance guys came in fixed it on july 3rd, so i guess it was bound to be that high this month.. Any idea how should i tackle this situation with the mgmt, cuz i am not paying 566.00 no way!

well when AC was bad it just kept running and never stopped still my apt was hot, but now its fixed and it works normal like it stops after every 15 mins , i have put it on auto now, i just checked my Meter now, i have used only 350kw since last 12 days, that tells me AC is good now, last month it wasnt good, that's why my bill was high

i pay 14.4

we just signed for a year with Gexa for 10.7. Be sure when you sign with a company to mark on your calendar when it expires, then shop around again. There is the website- power to choose, I think that probably has more info.

10.7 is pretty reasonable. Is this a base rate or just flat rate all the way?

wow for an apartment? do you have a datacenter in there?

we just got a bill for 496 in a 4300sq/ft house...2 zones, upstairs at 79 and downstairs and 78...

Upstairs will be going up quite a few degreees since no one is staying up there currently...no reason to be paying that much.

I'm always shocked by these quotes. I have leaky, old 1960's house, 4000 sf, under big old oaks, spray insulation, with 3 A/Cs. I'm cranking one down to 69, and the other two to 71 every night. Under 400 so far. Direct Energy, I hate them intensely, but there you go.
