Can anybody tell me how lenient the U of H is when it comes to graduate admissions? I am trying to get into the M.S in Accountancy and the website shows a minimum undergrad GPA of 3.0 which I don't have and a GMAT of 550 which is reasonable. I graduated from a Minnesota State University system institution with a GPA of 2.71 and I have a bachelor's degree in Economics, I have excellent references, a solid resume but I hear that U of H is not very selective. Anyways, I just wanted to hear from people who have gone through their graduate admissions process.

I know at UHCL, they will let someone into the graduate program on probation with either a lower GPA but good GMAT or vice versa. Once you are in - you have to maintain a 3.0 to remain. Not sure if main campus is the same or not.

Their website should tell you if they only consider the two last years or not.

U of H grad school official requirements don't really mean anything....they'll take low scores on both GRE & GPA........trust me (my best friend got in on much less than yours). Apply with that & you'll get into U of H. They aren't picky.
