I just threw that out to be a smartass. But- when I was growing up I did see some 'Pinoy Boys' graffitti on fences around Alief. Like most of these "gangstas" around Houston, they were probably just wannabes. That's one thing that surely hasn't gone away.

I'm not buying the "its the economy b.s" People who rob others with weapons were undoubtedly not our city's finiest citizens to begin with. A decent person - who was taught morals, respect for others, value for human life just isn't going to turn to crime -- they are going to find a second job or whatever - even if it is minimum wage fast food to bring a few extra bucks home to make ends meet.
