Hello all! I was looking for information for a friend of mine about this area of Houston. All she knows right now is that her job will be in the zip code 77040. We tried to get info on that zip code and all we found out was that it was in Harris county. Can anyone tell me of any nice places to live around this area, that would not be too far to drive to work and back home. She has children also...is there any info on the elementary schools as well. Thanks a lot!

What's her price range? I assume she's wanting to buy a house?

Oh Boy! This area may be to expensive to live in if it is one of the best school districts in the area. She doesn't make a ton of money, but she was looking into buying a home or townhouse, and if her credit isn't good enough then she wants to look into leasing a home/townhome. Her price range is 120,000-135,000. She currently lives in Northern California and she will never be able to afford a home there, so she was hoping that Houston would be a lot cheaper for her.

It is not an expensive district to live in. Many affordable neighborhoods are zoned to Cy-fair.
