depends on the month. Around $150 in the winter, to $350-$500 in the summer.

Harris or Montgomery County? You will pay more in Harris with deregulated electricity. 350-500 in July - August is certainly possible.

I live in a perry home in katy since 2003 (2600sf). I pay $100 in winter and $300 in peak summer. This is with 2 units on continuously in summer and maintaining a temp of 76-78.

I live in a 1960's home (3200sq ft) without any insulation or techshield and windows so thin I can hear entire conversations of my neighbors ... my summer bill is never over 350.I keep it between 76-79 and my pool pump runs 12 hours during the summer. Why are new houses with all this energy star stuff so high?

Probably not, but it depends on your electric provider since prices vary now! Shop around.
We're in a new Perry with the Energy Star / Techshield, but haven't been here in peak summer yet. The last several months, the bill has been just under $100 and the house is 3700 sq ft.

I have a Perry home that 2444sf two story built in 2000. My winter bill is around 50-80 and summer bill is around 150-250. Now most of my windows face north/south so I don't get much direct sunlight coming in from east/west and I believe that helps.
