Hi Everyone,

I know this type of thread as been posted many times before but somehow I haven't been able to make my decision yet. We are a Hispanic couple on our early 30's planning on moving to Houston next summer, coming from and Island in South America can't stand the cold weather any longer, we have an 8 year old kid and would like to move to a safe a nice suburb with a decent school district and not too far from the city. We all love outdoor activities and I'm a Baseball freak so the closer to Minute Maid Park the better; I'm a computer engineer and she's still in school. What areas would you recommend? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

No worries for the traffic, doesn’t get any worse than Chicago and the hot weather in the summer time is nothing compare to the 8 months of winter here.

Thank you all for your help !!!

I beleive Sugar Land is getting a minor league team...It has nice schools in most parts and not too bad of a commute.

I just moved from Chicago (south loop!) to Sugar Land this past June. It's been great! Sugar Land is comparable to Naperville,IL.. a very nice place overall, very safe, and very good place to raise a family.

There's some really nice high rises downtown within walking distance of Minute Maid if you're into that type of thing.
