Hi Everyone, I know this type of thread as been posted many times before but somehow I haven't been able to make my decision yet. We are a Hispanic couple on our early 30's planning on moving to Houston next summer, coming from and Island in South America can't stand the cold weather any longer, we have an 8 year old kid and would like to move to a safe a nice suburb with a decent school district and not too far from the city. We all love outdoor activities and I'm a Baseball freak so the closer to Minute Maid Park the better; I'm a computer engineer and she's still in school. What areas would you recommend? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I beleive Sugar Land is getting a minor league team...It has nice schools in most parts and not too bad of a commute.

I just moved from Chicago (south loop!) to Sugar Land this past June. It's been great! Sugar Land is comparable to Naperville,IL.. a very nice place overall, very safe, and very good place to raise a family.

There's some really nice high rises downtown within walking distance of Minute Maid if you're into that type of thing.
